AI-powered video content platform (acquired by Cvent, Dec 2025). Led product development and AI-assisted engineering infrastructure pre-acquisition; now on the platform team driving observability, performance, and internal tooling while continuing to lead AI-assisted engineering sessions.
- Built a statistical A/B performance testing tool that runs randomized controlled trials of two app instances on a single system and compares results — used to validate optimizations before shipping
- Improved event entry experience performance by 30% through targeted profiling and optimization
- Built a full-stack customer onboarding and management tool (Express, Postgres, React, TS) enabling Goldcast to handle a large influx of customers from the Cvent acquisition
- Built the AI-assisted engineering program from scratch — AGENT.md context docs across 12+ repos, automated Claude Code PR reviews, guardrail hooks (branch naming, push protection, file-level rules), and spec-driven development framework. Sustained adoption: 22–35 daily active engineers with no dropoff over 5 months
- Rebuilt test infrastructure for AI-assisted development — eliminated all test suite warnings, and created testing guardrails that enabled the team to generate thousands of high quality unit tests
- Shipped a caption styling engine modeled after Instagram/LinkedIn video captions — 16 presets, 4 animation types, frame-accurate rendering, WYSIWYG fidelity between editor and export. Became the foundation two other engineers built major features on top of
- Extracted the AI Edits sidebar into a standalone microfrontend (Webpack 5 Module Federation) — 200+ tests, 92% coverage, feature-flagged rollout, zero production issues
- Delivered major features for another pod's GA launch by ramping up on their Remotion codebase cold — editable speaker labels, caption line config, dynamic caption styles & animations
- Led product development for Content Lab — shipped caption translations, free trial experience, multimodal posts, rating systems, and content chapterization across frontend and backend
- Led Studio App UI revamp and feature rewrites, mentoring 4 engineers through code reviews and pair programming while establishing TypeScript-first development standards
- Architected frontend monorepo migration unifying 5+ repositories with standardized CI/CD pipelines, Bugsnag error tracking, and automated TypeScript type generation from OpenAPI specs
- Owned P0 incident response: diagnosed a frontend polling bug causing ~250K requests in 30 minutes (DDoS-like cascade), co-authored the RCA, shipped the fix. Separately recovered corrupted customer video downloads at 10pm by tracing an HLS path mismatch
- Mentored 17+ engineers on AI-assisted workflows through 1:1s, meetups, and hands-on pairing. One mentee went on to architect and own a major microfrontend independently. Conducted 33+ hiring interviews; trained 3 engineers to take over interviewing
